Crosspoint Church is looking for a Children's Ministry Director

Position Status: Salary (full-time with benefits)

Pay Range: TBD (based on education and experience)

 

Position Summary: The Children's Ministry Director is responsible for overseeing the spiritual development of children from birth to 5th grade. This role involves managing safety protocols, training volunteers, developing curriculum, and creating engaging programs for weekend experiences and small group environments. The Children’s Ministry Director will also collaborate with other church leaders to ensure a cohesive and effective ministry that is in line with the vision of Crosspoint Church.

  7. Be punctual for all required activities, events, workdays, and clearly communicate in the event of late arrival, or the need for time off.
  8. Deadlines set forth by supervisor must be honored and met unless alternative arrangements are made.

  10. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information pertaining to members of the church, or any other persons associated with Crosspoint Church. Signature of a confidentiality agreement is mandatory.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Safety and Security:

·      Oversee systems for background checks, safety, and security procedures.


Volunteer Management:

·      Oversee the scheduling, training, and care of volunteers.

·      Recruit, onboard, schedule, and manage all volunteers for Crosspoint Kids.

·      Conduct background checks and equip new team members.

·      Build relationships and provide care for all Crosspoint Kids team members.


Leadership Development:

·      Provide training for leaders through retreats, tools, and other resources.

·      Offer regular evaluations and feedback to team members.


Program Development:

·      Create and maintain engaging programs for children during Sunday services.

·      Build and manage teams of communicators and teachers to creatively engage kids with biblical teachings.

·      Select relevant curriculum, props, and games for Sunday services.

·      Ensure the Parent Room in the Worship Center is well-maintained.

·      Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children.


Wednesday Childcare Oversight:

·      Maintain a childcare program on Wednesday nights aimed at serving the families who attend Connect Groups that evening.


Ministry Planning:

·      Align with the Youth Director to develop a comprehensive ministry plan for spiritual and biblical development from 0-18 years.

·      Identify and implement quality curriculum for current and future needs.

·      Manage and evaluate Crosspoint Kids programming and events such as VBS and other special events.

 

Family Support:

·      Provide resources and counseling to families for spiritual growth and life-stage transitions.

·      Offer care and prayer for Crosspoint Kids families as needs arise.

·      Follow-up with new families and work to get their children connected to Crosspoint Kids.

·      Maintain a database with contact information.


Administrative Duties:

·      Oversee Crosspoint Kids database management, volunteer scheduling, and communication.

·      Manage financial aspects of the ministry, including credit card purchases, Amazon orders, and subscriptions.

·      Ensure the Crosspoint Kids calendar aligns with the overall church plan.

·      Work with staff to highlight events and ministry achievements.

·      Manage and care for Crosspoint Kids support staff.

·      Attend weekly staff meetings.


Family Connection Functions:

·      Communicate and follow-up with new families who visit Crosspoint to build relationships with parents and kids.

·      Work with new families to connect their children with Crosspoint Kids.

·      Assist in connecting new members and guests with Connect Groups as needed.


Church-wide Event Support:

·      Provide Crosspoint Kids programming for church-wide events such as Christmas, Easter, and other church-sponsored activities.


Qualifications:

·      Experience in children’s ministry leadership.

·      Ministry Education a plus.

·      Strong organizational and management skills.

·      Ability to develop and implement comprehensive ministry strategies.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Commitment to the vision and values of Crosspoint Church.

·      CPR Training (will provide)
